Operation of System

X3L KIT - (Horn Honk)

• To Start: Press Lock button 3 times on factory key FOB
• To Stop: Press Lock button 3 times again while engine is on
• Parking Lights will illuminate during remote start mode
• Run Time is 15 minutes
• All doors, and hood must be closed
• Horn will honk when activating remote start (go try pressing lock 3 times on your FOB - its a current Ford feature)

LUL KIT - (No Horn Honk)

• To Start: Press the button sequence Lock Unlock Lock on factory key FOB
• To Stop: Press the same button sequence again while engine is on
• Parking Lights will illuminate during remote start mode
• Run Time is 15 minutes
• All doors, and hood must be closed
• Horn will NOT honk when activating remote start

X3L Kit and LUL Kit Explained

These two kits offer the exact same functionality and features. Both Kits use the same module, wiring harness and programming method. The ONLY difference between the two kits is the button sequence you press on your OEM Key FOB. Both Kits are compatible with our Long Range Remotes and our App Module.

Special Notes

• Please note that we offer 2 variations of this kit, X3L (horn honk) and a LUL (no horn honk). Functionality is the exact same for both kits, however the activation button sequence is different between the two (see above)

• Climate settings are automatically set to "Last Setting". This means that where ever you left the climate controls when you exited the vehicle is what will kick on when you activate remote start

• OPTIONAL PARKING LIGHT WIRE CONNECTION - this wire will be needed for parking lights to illuminate during remote start mode. This wire is NOT needed for operation or programming.

• LOCK/UNLOCK WIRES - these wires will only need to be connected when using our Long Range Remote Kit or App Module. If you are not using either of these add-ons, then you will not need to connect the lock/unlock wires.

Remote Start Kit Options and Range

Standard Kit

Remote Start works by pressing the lock button 3 times on your OEM key FOB. Range is the same as your OEM Key

Long Range Remotes

Remote Start, Lock, and Unlock your vehicle with our 4-button remote. This Remote Kit includes two 2-way remote with audible and visual feedback. Range is up to 2800ft, depending on surroundings/environment. Click here for more info about or LRR-F Remote Kit
