Operation of System

X3L KIT - (Horn Honk)

  • To Start: Press Lock button 3 times on factory key FOB
  • To Stop: Press Lock button 3 times again while engine is on
  • Parking Lights will illuminate during remote start mode
  • Run Time is 15 minutes
  • All doors, and hood must be closed
  • Horn will honk when activating remote start (go try pressing lock 3 times on your FOB - its a current Ford feature)

LUL KIT - (No Horn Honk)

  • To Start: Press the button sequence Lock Unlock Lock on factory key FOB
  • To Stop: Press the same button sequence again while engine is on
  • Parking Lights will illuminate during remote start mode
  • Run Time is 15 minutes
  • All doors, and hood must be closed
  • Horn will NOT honk when activating remote start

X3L Kit and LUL Kit Explained

These two kits offer the exact same functionality and features. Both Kits use the same module, wiring harness and programming method. The ONLY difference between the two kits is the button sequence you press on your OEM Key FOB. Both Kits are compatible with our Long Range Remotes and our App Module.

Special Notes

  • Please note that we offer 2 variations of this kit, X3L (horn honk) and a LUL (no horn honk). Functionality is the exact same for both kits, however the activation button sequence is different between the two (see above)
  • Climate settings are automatically set to "Last Setting". This means that where ever you left the climate controls when you exited the vehicle is what will kick on when you activate remote start
  • OPTIONAL PARKING LIGHT WIRE CONNECTION - this wire will be needed for parking lights to illuminate during remote start mode. This wire is NOT needed for operation or programming.
  • LOCK/UNLOCK WIRES - these wires will only need to be connected when using our Long Range Remote Kit or App Module. If you are not using either of these add-ons, then you will not need to connect the lock/unlock wires.

    Returns Policy

    This worked really well with my 2015 ford explorer police interceptor. This was an important device for me since the key fob immoblizer for my explorer was removed. Most PI vehicles do not have a key fob nor do they have a remote start. The setup process was much more difficult then the installion videos suggest but that was mainly because on my explorer PI the ignition harness and the secondary ignition harness where in different locations then the standard explorers. However I am just an avg person and I figured it out just fine. I did have a tough time programing the module but the support team for this site was always there to help and gave me multiple different options. All around great product, parking lights and lock n unlock features worked as well

    Good Product, Great Support

    Installed the "no honk" kit December 23 2019 (2015 Explorer) and needed some clarifications with the installation. Being that it was close to Christmas I didn't think I would get a response until after the New Year. I was wrong. I received email support and phone support and completed the installation in no time. We never had an issue with the kit until the vehicle battery died this year (March 2021). Upon replacing the battery, the remote start did not work. Numerous attempts at reprogramming did not solve the issue so I contacted support and they responded very quickly. We set a time to trouble shoot the issue over the phone and they called me on time as promised. In about 5 minutes time, we reset the module and it works perfectly again. Great support and very friendly and eager to help and work with your schedule.
